The Temple authority will take a little amount in their office inside the mandir called “GODI”. They will only provide the space. They will help you to make contact with the prists. Only the prists of the Temple can do any ritual inside the temple.

Taraknath Temple is situated in Hooghly district of West Bengal, India. In 1729 AD this temple was billed by Raja Bharamalla. The architecture of the temple is “atchala and natmandir” style which is purely Belngal style.

Taraknath Temple is considered among one of the 12 jyotirling temples in India. This temple also has minor shrines dedicated to Goddess Kali and Lord Lakshmi – Narayan.

Dudhpukur is one of the main attraction of Trakeswar. This pond is situated towards the north of Tarakeswar Temple. Pilgrims visiting the temple take a dip in this pond for the fulfillment of their wishes. It is also believed that the water in the pond possesses medicinal properties and a bath here can keep one healthy.

Best way to reach Tarekeswar is by train from Howra jn. FROM THE STATION YOU CAN TAKE TOTO OR RICKSAW TO THE TEMPLE. IT’S A WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE STATION.

After reaching there the PANDAs will try to catch you. These pandas are only the coordinators of the local shops who use to sell all the things related to worship. These pandas will take you to the shops then shop will send you inside the temple. You will find the priests of the temple inside in yellow attire.

There is a big holy pond called DUDH PUKUR. People believe that your wish will be full filled if you take a bath in that water.

All kind of food and beverage you will get outside of the Temple.
